The IP54 protection class means that the charging cable is resistant to dust and water splashes and can be used in a wide range of environmental conditions. The contact pins are made of silver-plated copper alloy for excellent conductivity and UL94V-0 material for additional protection against spontaneous combustion

Type 1 connectivity is suitable for vehicles for the US and Japanese markets, such as the Nissan Leaf, KIA Soul EV, Chevrolet Volt, BMW i3 (US version) and Volkswagen e-Golf (US version).
