The Dynamic Power Controller is an intelligent solution for efficient energy management in your home or business. It helps to distribute the input power so that the electric car is not charged beyond its instantaneous power consumption. The Wallbox Smart Meter is a compact, 3-module, easy-to-integrate external electricity meter that communicates with the charging station to dynamically control its power output.

Example:
The power supply to the house is 14 kW. Charging of the electric car starts at the maximum power of the station (e.g. 11 kW), while at the same time the washing machine, kettle, air conditioner are switched on, with an instantaneous power demand of more than 3 kW. If the power of the house’s inlet is exceeded, the inlet machine switches off and the house loses power.

To avoid power cuts when charging an electric car, a dynamic power controller is recommended to automatically reduce the power to the station if other electrical appliances are in use at the time.
