Travelling by electric car still sounds like a very complicated and frustrating process for many people, and many people still don’t take the plunge. However, I had the honour to interview Dainius Jaks, an electric car enthusiast, founder of the Facebook group and the online news blog “100 Percent Electric”. He experienced first-hand what it’s like to drive the Lithuania – Spain – Lithuania leg in an electric car.
3 thousand. That’s roughly the distance between Lithuania and Spain. According to Google Maps, it would take around 30 hours to reach the destination by car (not including any stops). If you were driving a fuel-powered car, you would need to factor in one night’s accommodation and about 4-5 stops to refuel kurui⛽️, rest and eat. Roughly speaking, you would taste tapas and sangria after about two days.
And what are the challenges of travelling with your family on electric transport? Travelling by electric car – what to consider when planning this type of trip. How many stops would you have to make to recharge? In general, is the infrastructure for EV travel already sufficiently developed in Europe?
Not sure about the answers to these questions but curious? All this and more is in the video, and one day you might be able to tell a similar story. Have a good listen!⚡️
